Overview

This table provides information on the number of Billing Output Tags (BOTs) associated with a LineItem. BOTs are used to tag Pricing Rules in CloudBilling. Then, the BOTs can be used to retrieve information from the tagged rule results and output it to an invoice PDF or an export file. For example, consider a Pricing Rule applying VAT on the invoice total is tagged with a BOT ‘TotalInclVAT’. Now, this BOT can be used to retrieve the rule result (invoice total including VAT) and print it on an invoice PDF.

In CloudBilling, you can view and edit a rule’s BOTs in the Edit Pricing Rule screen. Click on a rule in the Pricing Rules page to view and edit its BOTs. CloudBilling usually contains multiple BOTs across various Pricing Rules, but only four can be synced with the dataset. Users need to select the 4 BOTs in advance, and communicate their decision to CloudBilling’s project team or support team through our customer portal or by sending an email. Our consultants will ensure the selected BOTs are synced with the dataset.

Each key in the Flags table indicates which of the four BOTs are in a LineItem. For example, 0 indicates that the LineItem has no BOT, 1 indicates only BOT1 is present, 2 indicates only BOT2 is present, 3 indicates both BOT1 and BOT2 are present, and so on. This table can be used to retrieve LineItems with specific BOTs. Consider a pricing rule that applies exchange rate is tagged with a BOT. We can now retrieve the historical data showing the value added by exchange rates by combining this table with the LineItems table.
